Wolves' Finch to have surgery Wednesday on torn patellar tendon

Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch will have surgery on his torn right patellar tendon.

ESPN reports the procedure will take place on Wednesday. Finch injured it when Minnesota guard Mike Conley Jr. was bumped into him by Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker in game four of their first round series. It is uncertain if Finch will be able to coach the team from the sidelines in game one of its second round series with the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.

If he cannot go, assistant Micah Nori would man the sidelines with Finch probably communicating from the locker room.
