Second period outburst fuels Wild past Flames

(Calgary, AB) -- The Minnesota Wild remain undefeated in the John Hynes-era after beating the Calgary Flames 5-2 at Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Wild scored the first three goals of the game with Marcus Foligno scoring early in the first period and Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy both lighting the lamp in the first 90 seconds of the second. Minnesota led by at least two goals the rest of the way. Boldy had two goals in the victory, while Joel Eriksson Ek notched his 12th of the season. The Wild are on a four-game winning streak, and they remain in seventh-place in the Central Division with 22 points and a 9-10-4 record.

Minnesota visits Vancouver Thursday night.
