Towns joins Dominican Republic for FIBA World Cup

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Timberwolves power forward Karl-Anthony Towns will be playing in the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Towns announced yesterday that he is joining the Dominican Republic roster for the tournament. Towns represented the country when he was just 17 during the 2012 tournament. He's the eighth Timberwolves player to join a roster.

The DR's first game will be on August 25th against the Philippines.
